Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TotoKiasu mobile application ("App") and website at totokiasu.sg ("Site"), operated by TotoKiasu ("we", "our", or "us").
By downloading the App or accessing the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App or Site.
1. About TotoKiasu
TotoKiasu is a lottery ticket scanning app that allows users to photograph Singapore Pools lottery tickets (TOTO, 4D, and Singapore Sweep) and automatically check them against officially published draw results. The App uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to read ticket data from photos and matches it against results we scrape from Singapore Pools' public website.
TotoKiasu is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Singapore Pools (1968) Ltd.
2. Important Disclaimer — Informational Use Only
Results shown in TotoKiasu are for informational purposes only and may not always be accurate or up to date.
Always verify your results through official Singapore Pools channels — the official website (singaporepools.com.sg) or any Singapore Pools outlet — before discarding your ticket or making any prize claim decisions.
TotoKiasu accepts no liability for any loss, missed prize, or decision made in reliance on results displayed in the App. You must retain your original physical ticket to claim any prize. A result shown as "Win" in TotoKiasu does not constitute a valid prize claim.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age to use TotoKiasu.
- You must be legally permitted to participate in lottery activities in your jurisdiction.
- The App is currently designed for use in Singapore. Use outside Singapore is at your own risk and may not reflect relevant lottery results.
By using the App, you confirm that you meet these requirements. We reserve the right to terminate accounts where eligibility requirements are not met.
4. Accounts
You may sign in using your Google or Apple account. We do not support email/password registration.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent scan quotas.
- Notify us immediately at support@totokiasu.sg if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
Account deletion: You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account Management → Delete Account. Your account will be soft-deleted and permanently removed after a 30-day grace period, during which you may restore it by signing in again. Ticket data and images are deleted as part of this process.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
TotoKiasu offers:
- Free tier: 3 ticket scans per calendar month at no charge.
- Pro subscription: An additional 15 scans per calendar month, billed at S$1.00 per month (or equivalent local currency as shown at checkout).
Auto-renewal notice (required by Apple App Store and Google Play):
• Your Pro subscription will automatically renew at S$1.00/month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings (iOS) or Google Play account settings (Android).
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain Pro access until then.
• No refunds are provided for partial months.
- All payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. TotoKiasu does not store your payment information.
- Prices may change. We will provide notice before any price change takes effect.
- Refunds are subject to the refund policies of Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Scan counts reset on the 1st of each calendar month (Singapore time). Unused scans do not roll over.
6. Ticket Images and User Content
When you scan a ticket, the photo is uploaded to our secure servers for AI processing and stored to allow you to review past scans. You retain ownership of photos you upload.
- You must only scan legitimate Singapore Pools lottery tickets. Scanning other documents is a misuse of the service.
- You grant TotoKiasu a limited licence to store and process your ticket images solely for the purpose of providing the scanning service.
- Ticket images are private to your account and not shared with other users.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Singapore law.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App or its backend services.
- Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to access the App or its APIs.
- Create multiple accounts to bypass scan limits.
- Upload images that do not contain legitimate lottery tickets.
- Interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of our services.
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without refund.
8. Intellectual Property
All content in the App and on the Site — including the TotoKiasu name, logo, design, code, and copy — is owned by TotoKiasu and protected by Singapore copyright and intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
Lottery draw result data is sourced from publicly available Singapore Pools publications. TotoKiasu is not affiliated with or endorsed by Singapore Pools (1968) Ltd.
9. Notifications
By enabling push notifications, you consent to receive alerts about your ticket results, TOTO jackpot thresholds, and prize claim reminders. You can adjust or disable notifications at any time in the app Settings → Notifications or in your device notification settings.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- Results displayed are always accurate, complete, or current.
- The App will be available at all times or free from errors or interruptions.
- AI-based ticket scanning will always correctly read your ticket.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, TotoKiasu and its operators shall not be liable for:
- Any inaccurate, delayed, or missing lottery results displayed in the App.
- Any prize missed, forfeited, or expired due to reliance on App results.
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
- Any loss of data, interruption of service, or unauthorised access to your account.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12. Data Retention & Ticket Expiry
To keep your ticket history manageable and our systems clean, TotoKiasu automatically removes ticket records after a period of time:
- Ticket records are permanently deleted 240 days after the latest draw date on the ticket. This includes the ticket image and all associated data.
- Singapore Pools prize claim window is 180 days from the draw date. TotoKiasu will send you a push notification 7 days before this window closes for any unclaimed winning tickets.
- TotoKiasu is not responsible for prizes that expire or are forfeited due to the 180-day claim window passing. Always verify results and claim prizes directly through Singapore Pools.
- Account data is retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed after a 30-day grace period.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without notice if you:
- Violate these Terms.
- Engage in conduct harmful to other users or the integrity of our services.
- Use the App in a way that creates legal risk for TotoKiasu.
You may terminate your account at any time by emailing support@totokiasu.sg.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising from your use of the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
